Your privacy matters to me. This policy explains what information I collect when you visit my website or work with me, how I use it, and the choices you have. I handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

1. Who this covers

This policy applies to Jade Amalos Illustrations ("Jade", "I", "me", "my") and to anyone who visits jadeamalos.com, contacts me, joins my email list, or purchases from me.

2. What I collect

Depending on how you interact with me, I may collect:

  • Contact details — your name and email address (and business name, if you share it).

  • Order details — what you purchased and your order history.

  • Payment information — processed securely by my payment provider. I don't see or store your full card details.

  • Project materials — the photos, briefs and information you send me so I can create your illustration.

  • Website data — basic analytics like pages visited and general location, collected through cookies to help me understand how the site is used.

3. How I collect it

I collect information when you fill in my contact form, sign up for my email list or freebie, buy something at checkout, send me project materials, or interact with my site.

4. How I use it

I use your information to:

  • create and deliver your illustrations,

  • communicate with you about your order or enquiry,

  • send you marketing emails only if you've signed up (you can unsubscribe any time),

  • process payments and keep records for tax and accounting, and

  • improve my website and services.

I will never sell your personal information.

5. Who I share it with

I use trusted third-party tools to run my business, and only share what's needed for them to do their job:

  • Squarespace — hosts my website and processes checkout.

  • Stripe / PayPal / Square — processes payments securely.

  • Flodesk — manages my email list and sends my emails.

  • My accounting software Hnry — for invoicing and records.

Each of these has its own privacy policy. Some of these providers are based overseas (for example in the United States), which means your information may be stored or processed outside Australia.

6. Marketing emails

I'll only add you to my email list if you've opted in (for example by grabbing my playbook or ticking to subscribe). Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time, no hard feelings.

7. Cookies

My website uses cookies to function properly and to collect basic analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.

8. How I store and protect your information

I take reasonable steps to keep your information secure and only hold it for as long as I need it, to fulfil your order, meet my legal and tax obligations, and keep sensible business records.

9. Your rights

You can ask me at any time to access the personal information I hold about you, correct it if it's wrong, or delete it where I'm not legally required to keep it. Just email me at info@jadeamalosillustrations.com.au.

10. Complaints

If you're ever concerned about how I've handled your information, please contact me first and I'll do my best to sort it out. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
